About Jeremy Kim

Biography
As a hungry and ambitious artist, Jeremy is resilient with a creative mind that craves thinking outside of the box. Whether the task requires Illustration, Graphic Design, or both, Jeremy’s ability to conduct thorough research and brainstorm innovative ideas results in work that represents originality and successful communication. He is always determined to exceed expectations when getting the job done, hoping to make his clients and audience enthusiastic about his work. 

Born on December 15th, 1995, Jeremy Kim is a first generation Korean-American from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is currently residing in Brooklyn, New York and studying Communications Design at the prestigious Pratt Institute.He was first introduced into the world of art at a very young age by his uncle, who studied Graphic Design and Illustration. He began pursuing an artistic career at the age of thirteen, and during his initial instruction, he studied the fundamentals of drawing and oil painting. 

His love for innovative concepts helped him create a portfolio that earned him a scholarship at Pratt Munson William Proctor in the year 2014. After his original aim to earn a degree in Fine Arts, Jeremy decided to take a new leap and pursue a degree in Illustration and Design. After two years of learning both traditional and digital art and design, his work began transitioning from traditional illustrations to digital illustrations with a meticulous and sharp vector style that still consists of the symbolic concepts he has always loved creating. His transitioned style instilled in him a new passion for designing and illustrating posters, merchandise, editorials, and conceptual art. Having also discovered the world of Graphic Design, Jeremy has found joy in creating logos, brand identity, and packaging. He currently enjoys combining his newfound graphic design knowledge with his passion for illustration.
